Cynthia "Cindy" L. Conger

As a dedicated figure in the financial planning industry, Cindy's career has been one of determination, accomplishment, and a profound commitment to her clients' financial well-being.

A Journey of Dedication

Cindy's foray into the financial planning, wealth management, and professional tax service industries began at a time when she was a devoted mother, managing her responsibilities at home while pursuing her dreams of building a thriving career. After studying accounting in Michigan, she relocated to Arkansas with her family and enrolled at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In 1983, she proudly earned her Master's in Business Administration, marking the beginning of her exceptional journey.

A Trailblazing and Foundational Career

Cindy's dedication and drive led her to join a local insurance agency, where she pioneered the establishment of a financial planning section. By 1985, she co-founded Arkansas Financial Group, Inc., gaining valuable experience. Her journey continued alongside three other financial planners, as they founded Financial Decisions, Inc., a fee-only financial planning firm catering to middle-income clients, in 1999.

Conger Wealth Management

In 2005, she pursued her entrepreneurial spirit and founded her firm, known today as Conger Wealth Management. The firm has been a testament to her unwavering commitment to her clients' financial well-being. Focusing on women in transition while also providing comprehensive financial planning services for couples, Cindy's approach has resonated with individuals and families seeking guidance to help move toward more financial security.

Contributions to the Industry

Cindy's expertise in financial planning has not only impacted her clients but also contributed to the industry as a whole. She has been a prolific writer, with her articles appearing in esteemed publications like Arkansas Business, Money Magazine, Journal of Financial Planning, and Worth*, among many others. Her contributions to the field have been recognized by Worth magazine, which named her one of the top practitioners** in the nation, and Wealth Management magazine, which listed her among the "50 Distinguished Women in Wealth Management."

Leadership and Community Involvement

Cindy's leadership and passion extend beyond her professional endeavors. She served on the National Board of Directors of the International Association for Financial Planning and acted as chairperson for IAFP Registry Admissions and the IAFP Conference for Advanced Planning. She also held the position of President of the Arkansas Chapter of IAFP. Active in her community, Cynthia has served on several boards, including the Women's Foundation of Arkansas, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Foundation Fund Board, and the University of Arkansas System Foundation Inc. She continues to contribute her expertise and insights as a member of the Arkansas Symphony Board of Directors.

Cindy's contributions to the industry, the Little Rock area, and to all Arkansas financial professionals cannot be overstated. Now enjoying a well-deserved retirement, her journey is a testament to the power of dedication, knowledge, and a commitment to serving others. Cindy is a three-time inductee (2020, 2021, and 2022) into the Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame.
